	Can we now have some footage of Spirit of America failing it's attempt? And don't miss off the ending, where Craig Breedlove goes to shake Andy Green's hand, after being defeated... and Andy pulls his hand away in classic comedy style, and blobs his tongue out. Then he challenges Craig to a running race, back to the camp. Andy says "ready? 1, 2, 3 GO!"... Craig runs off top speed (about 7 mph), whilst Andt just stands still - laughing at Craigs expense and his inane mission, to beat Andy in atleast one race... Then, at the end, when Andy makes Craig look through some binoculars. FYI there will be 19 or so new skyscrapers in London by 2009. I've seen there artist's conception and they look pretty damn original.

That isnt exactly accurate, the advanced technology you speak of. Both in flight and warfare or whatever is a result of hard work from people everywhere in the world. NASA for instance has a WHOLE lot of european and russian experts, and as for warfare. You have alot of armaments from sweden, germany and basically all over in your arsenal that i know of since my own time in the army.

The performance of the SR71 wasn't officialy admitted, for any other reason than that the whole project was "classified", and the SR71 was born out of alot of test flights from manned rockets dropped from bombers in mid-air, and those manned rockets were... German rocketflight that had been developed under WWII codenamed "Komet"

Ironically, the recording of this sonic boom was looped on to a tape, so it played over and aver again. Andy Green said, as a laugh, they used to go to the USA camp, and play this tape full volume, in the dead of night. ....BANG! BANG! BANG!, Until Craig Breedlove could take no more, and he would come running out of his tent, that looked like a cheeseburger, incidentally, and chase Andy off. However, they had tied Craigs shoe laces together, and he fell over. A correction to someone's earlier post, about it being on US soil, therefore US record... The crew had anticipated that the Yanks would try and claim the record, because of this soil thing. So, quite cleverly, the crew took some British sand with them (I think it was from Newquay beach), and stuck it the wheels, a bit like sandpaper. The ensured, that whereever the car ran, it was always on British soil.

To travel at the speed of light hasn't even been done in space so how the fuck do you think it would be possible in a car? And friction on the tyres would wear them away in a milisecond and i doubt youd even find a driver dumb enough to test it. And wouldnt glass be heavier than rubber?
