| I got stabbed in the neck with a pen knife trying to help a girl a few years ago and I didn't realize it until about 5 minutes later, my adrenalin was just pumping! |

| Looks like it was a shiv he pulled... And i've heard a couple of stories from people that been stabbed, and they never noticed a thing til, as scott says, the adrenaline wears off. |

Its not stupid you just misunderstand. I would take special precautions to avoid all violence especially because I have a pistol. BUT the presence of the pistol is for when the armed dumbasses cant be avoided, which does happen. the pistol is simply an added reminder of my responsiblility to avoid confrontation at all costs and defend my life and my families when it cant be. Thanks for letting me clarify. |

| I would be ready to shoot someone if my life was threatened. In a situation where I believed that I would be killed or maimed then I would shoot someone. Doesnt that make sense? If you were given the option between dying or defending yourself, what would you pick? |

| In first, sorry for my offending language. I did just want to say, that, in my opinion, having a pistol will just make the situation worse than better. But eventually thats easier over here in Europe, where you are not allowed to carry guns around in public areas. But here there are also dangerous parts of the city, but I just avoid going there and so everything seems to be safe for me. |

| actually my wife hates it... but you got me pegged man. I carry a weapon because it makes me look tough... except for the fact that its a concealed weapon so maybe it just makes me feel tough... or maybe its because I just prefer the option of protecting myself. See keke, there are laws in many places here against carrying a gun. But you see, criminals by their nature dont abide by the law. So all that does is prevent law abiding citizens like me from carrying one. That leaves you with armed criminals and unarmed citizens... not a good combination. I actually dont live in a bad place but you never know when somethin like that could happpen. Its like wearing your seat belt in a car. You dont intend to drive into an accident, sometimes it just happens. But man are you glad you had a seatbelt on when it does because it can save your life. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it if you know what I mean |

One thing's for damn certain though, if a guy like in the video pulled a knife at me and was mental. I would wish i had a ledspreader... If a person has the right mental stability and isn't a triggerhappy fool, i dont see why it would be worse if an ordinary guy defended himself or his family against an armed idiot that attacked any of them. When the police shoots someone it seems okay in the exact same circumstance...
Hmmm... im being attacked by a violent axewielding maniac... and he wont be reasoned with.. hmmm..i really wish i had something to protect me with, such as a gun would be nice right about now... ah well, i better call the cops and wait.
Let's face it, there's cops that's been on the force for a lifetime without having to pull their sidearm. But if something should happen... imagine if your kid was attacked by a dog, just as an example this has been common lately it seems according to the papers after all Pitbulls or whatever, if a guy in the vicinity of you pulled a gun and shot it, would anyone complain that the guy had a gun ?, i sure as hell wouldnt. And seeing how the societies seem to grow even more decadent, i wouldnt mind having a handgun on me as a swede either for who-the-hell-knows situations.
But i would require that anyone carrying a personal defense weapon such as a gun. Would have to have a license, and go through rigorous shrink evaluations. They would also have to be obliged just as the police to prove their abilities to shoot properly and know when and where.
The real downside of carrying guns is for instance in the occation of a weaker person that wouldnt be able to shoot someone when it came to it, and losing the gun to the attacker. Who would then probably shoot the poor bastard and run off and now being armed and more dangerous. There's probably alot of downsides if i carry on here, but it's not all bad. What i wouldnt want to see though, is a gunlaw like that in america over here where any other fool can have one-- no sir-e bob. |
