Yikes. I wonder what the kid actually did to drive the man to the point of wanting to murder the kid.
The guy sounded pretty sane and calm on the phone. The fact that he actually called it in immediately after it happened lets you know that he's well aware of the horrendous crime he's just committed.
Anyone else wonder if the kid didn't deserve it? I'm just trying to look at both sides of the argument here.
It's very well-known that Fox News has tends to be biased in their reports...
For five years this kid, his parents and his friends have been "harassing" the old man. We all know what kids are capable of doing to old people psychologically.
I'd just like to know a little bit more information on what exactly these kids did to make the old man want to kill this boy.
And, Tyrfingr, he said the judge was not allowing the man to be let go on bail. Just thought I'd clear that up. |

The kid i guess must have treaded on his nerves just as he did on the lawn.. but shit, shooting a 15 year old is a bit harsh even in my world. Might as well be the parents that needed that lead... Or as they used to do in the old days, shoot the kids in the ass with rocksalt  |

well i would imagine there is more to this story than just the kid walking on his lawn. i would say you shouldn't take what this news report showed at face value.
like the lawn man said in the phone recording to the police, there had been arguments earlier and obliviously this lawn mower man was a few sandwiches short of a picnic tending to his lawn 3 times a day.
Fucking hell, look at some of the fights you see on this site! They are started over less than this kid got shot for and everyone loves it

| This guy does not have that great of a lawn or landscaping. And there are no side walks for people so they have to walk in the street. He complains about everyone who walks on his side of the street. As for having a problem with this particuler family, I am not sure, I think the kid did something a few years ago like ride a bike or something in his yard(so I have heard) I live about 20 min. away from this, and normaly I would be making a rude coment about it but today I learnd that a teacher at my daughters school was arrested for soliciting a 13 year old on the internet, my daughter is 12. where have we taken this world and can we get back to where we started |

This guy should date my mother! She is just about goofy as he is. What is it with older people thinking they own everything and everybody? He said this had been going on for five years? Why didn't he put up a fence or move if this kid was causing so many problems?

You've got to understand Carl; these are Godless kids, that have no respect for anyone. According to Science journal, man shares a common ancestor with the earthworm. I don't see what being godlesness or ancestry of earthworms in a journal, has to do with failure of raising kids to become abiding to rationality and common sense.
I'm godless as well and was raised by godless parents but turned out quite well i should think, i never caused mischief in any major way other than what most any kids do on their own when not having oversight by adults... If complaints were raised to my parents they saw to it that my bad ways were corrected, through reasoning alone. They never had to turn to spanking of any sort or the bible... It's amazing what you can achieve by patience and rhetoric.
