	ok now with the boring scientific stuff... monkeys are different from apes because of this particular occurance. when monkeys look in a mirror as well as most animals...they see another monkey not themselves, but when an ape looks in the mirror it sees itself. Some people believe that this self recognition is a feature of having a soul.
