In 1976 some crazy lunatic tries the longest car jump in history. He attempts to jump 1 mile, from an 8 story ramp in a 280mph rocket powered car.

Technically speaking, putting any kind of wings on the car should be considered cheating... Any attempt at a world record long jump with a car, should be made with an unmodified car. Also with a normal piston engine.
