A car pulled out infront of this TV crew forcing them to swere to miss the head on collision. They had to swerve yet again to miss on coming traffic which caused them to flip the car into a ditch. Tough car...

That was impressive. The Swede's have built good solid crash safe cars for many years before the rest of the world woke up to car safety; beginning with the first Saab after WW2. I've owned 7 Saabs myself over a [few] years. Lets see someone crawl out of the stylishly low windows on some of the cars today. With their limited greenhouses if you can't get the door open, you're stuck.
Too bad we didn't get to see the car from the outside afterwords. |

I'll tell you a story my children of a time; when I was a smart assed young pilot coming in for a landing at a big airport (I'd had most of my training at smaller airports). When my plane was picked up by a severe wingtip vortex. My passenger was an ex military pilot with many hours under his prodigious belt. The man said "LET GO" and I did. Thanks to "my quick reaction" in jumping off the yolk I allowed him to save our lives.
The moral of this little tale is:
Maybe, just maybe, that was the jet pilot grabbing the yoke again? |

| ^^^ LOL and I liked the slow mo, but I think the passenger is trying to correct an over correction, can't tell much though from the view! |

| The driver was VERY lucky to have survived... a little faster roll-over velocity and he'd likely would have suffered fatal head injuries... and if it wasn't a Volvo, he probably would have in that very same crash. Granted; his over correction (noted earlier) probably made the crash worse than it would have... but at least he avoided the head-on; which besides being "t-boned," is the worst kind of accident; though roll-overs are often fatal as well; depending on being belted and the speed. If he'd not been wearing his seatbelt, his head would have been outside of the window when it struck the groud. And that would have been bad. |
